RSS Feeds

This is the first time I got to use RSS feeds and I think that it could be a very important part of getting the new news across to the patrons. As general public gets more familiar with the concept of receiving their information all in one spot it will be a great way of notifying them of changes and events at the local library. Personally I think it's great. Saves me the trouble of having to go to all the different websites to see what is happening. It also helps me keep track of all the blogs i'm interested in. A very interesting exercise for me.

Introduction to Flickr

Well I'm in week 3 of Learning 2.0 and I chose to create my own Flickr account and upload a photo of a model of my car as well as use flickr to add the photo to my week 3 blogger post. I have also explored a few 3rd party external links as well as some of the photo tools found on flickr. I think it is very cool and something I can see myself using in the future.

Cool Libraries

I would like to raise the issue of people assuming that libraries are uncool and that everyone working in them are bookworms, nerds or geeks. I completely disagree and believe if these people stepped a foot in a library they would see how wrong they really are! Have your say.....
