This is the first time I got to use RSS feeds and I think that it could be a very important part of getting the new news across to the patrons. As general public gets more familiar with the concept of receiving their information all in one spot it will be a great way of notifying them of changes and events at the local library. Personally I think it's great. Saves me the trouble of having to go to all the different websites to see what is happening. It also helps me keep track of all the blogs i'm interested in. A very interesting exercise for me.

I love RSS feeds. I wouldn't be able to keep up with everything I am interested in without them. And its not just blogs - you can get RSS feeds from social bookmarking, can create them for websites, from photo sharing sites and more. In the not too distant future, we will use them for new additions to our catalogue etc.
